This, That, These, Those – Learning with Smiles in PP2
At TJIS, learning is not just about books — it’s about turning every lesson into an exciting experience that sparks curiosity and joy! Our PP2 little learners recently explored the use of demonstrative pronouns — This, That, These, and Those — in the most interactive and engaging way possible. 📚✨
The classroom came alive with activities designed to help children understand how to point out and describe objects around them. Holding up a toy and saying, “This is fun!” made them giggle, while pointing to something far away with “That is exciting!” filled the room with enthusiasm. The joy multiplied when they looked at a group of colorful books and said, “These are curious minds,” or waved at their friends and happily declared, “Those are happy learners!” 💛
Through hands-on activities, visual aids, and playful role-play, the children not only learned how to use these words correctly but also improved their observation, communication, and confidence. The session encouraged them to connect grammar with real-life objects, making the concept easy to remember and fun to practice. 🌟
Our PP2 classrooms were buzzing with laughter, energy, and bright ideas as the children interacted with each other and their surroundings. This method of experiential learning ensures that every child understands concepts in a meaningful way while enjoying the process.
At TJIS, we believe that early learning should be full of color, joy, and curiosity — and this activity was the perfect example of that philosophy in action! 🌈💫
Action Words Come Alive with Grade 2 Learners
At TJIS, grammar lessons are never just about textbooks — they are about living the words, feeling their meaning, and making learning unforgettable. Our Grade 2 students recently dived into the world of action words in the most energetic and creative way possible! 🏃♀️📚🎨
The activity began with students identifying common action words like run, jump, paint, and read. But instead of simply memorizing them, the children brought these words to life through real actions. Whether it was running across the playground, acting out reading a favorite book, or pretending to paint a masterpiece, every child participated with boundless enthusiasm.
Once they experienced the actions, the learners took the next step — turning these verbs into lively sentences. For example, “I am painting a picture”, “He is jumping high”, or “We are reading together”. By combining movement with sentence formation, the children not only understood the meaning of each action word but also practiced grammar, sentence structure, and creativity all at once.
The classroom was buzzing with laughter, collaboration, and creativity. Teachers guided the learners to think of their own action words, encouraging them to express ideas in fun and imaginative ways. This blend of physical movement and sentence building made the learning process dynamic, memorable, and truly enjoyable.
At TJIS, we believe that learning should be an experience, not a chore. By integrating hands-on activities, we help children remember concepts better, gain confidence in communication, and develop a genuine love for language. Our Grade 2 Action Words Day was a shining example of how grammar can be taught with joy, energy, and meaning. 🌟

The highlight of the celebration was the Rakhi-making activity, where children used colorful threads, beads, sequins, and glitter to design their own unique rakhis. The creativity on display was truly inspiring! Tiny hands worked with great care, and every rakhi reflected the love and warmth in the hearts of our students. 🎨🌈
Students also participated in songs, poems, and short performances, adding cultural vibrance to the event. These moments helped them understand the festival’s deeper meaning while having fun with their classmates.
