Join Us in Welcoming Our Kindergarten Class at TJIS!
Dear Parents,
Good Day! 💐💐
We at The Jain International School (TJIS) are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to our newly joined kindergarteners as they begin their exciting journey into the world of learning. The new academic session has officially commenced for our youngest learners, the tiny tots in KG-Classes, and we are elated to share the joyous moments of this wonderful beginning.
Join Us in Welcoming Our Kindergarten Class:
A Grand Start to the Kindergarten Journey:
At TJIS, we believe that the first day of school is not just another day; it is the start of an exciting new chapter for our children and their families. The inauguration of Pre-Primary-1 (PP-1) began with a heartfelt felicitation for our new little stars. As each child entered the school, they were welcomed with beautiful rose petals, symbolizing purity and growth, and a traditional tilakam was applied on their foreheads by our respected in-charge teachers, Smt Anasuya and Smt Varalaxmi. This special ceremony marked the beginning of a warm and caring relationship between the school and the children, as we wish to make them feel comfortable and valued from the very first day.
A Fun-Filled Welcome Ceremony:
The atmosphere at TJIS was filled with excitement as our young learners experienced their first day with us. To add to the celebration, Ms Harshitha organized a scintillating Welcome Dance, titled “Go As You Like”, performed by the talented children from Class 1. The performance was filled with energy and enthusiasm, as the older children showed their support and happiness to welcome the new members of the TJIS family. It was a joy to see the little ones smile and clap along, feeling the warmth of the community they have now become a part of.
Following the dance performance, our kindergarteners participated in a fun and vibrant activity, the Scavenger Hunt, specially designed for them. This interactive and colorful event not only engaged the children but also helped them bond with their peers. The Scavenger Hunt was a delightful way for the tiny tots to explore their surroundings while learning important skills such as teamwork, observation, and problem-solving. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to take their first steps into the world of learning in a fun, hands-on manner.
Interactive Learning and Joyful Rhyme Sessions:
As the day continued, the children were introduced to more interactive and engaging activities. Ms Anasuya took charge and led the tiny tots in an Interactive Nursery Rhyme Session. The children from Classes 1 and 2 also joined in, making it a collaborative learning experience where the older students helped their younger peers. Nursery rhymes are not only a fun way to learn, but they also lay the foundation for language development, rhythm, and coordination. Through song and dance, the children were introduced to language in a playful and engaging manner, allowing them to absorb new concepts with ease.
The inclusion of older students in this session also highlighted the importance of peer learning at TJIS. We encourage a collaborative environment where students of all ages learn to work together, share knowledge, and support each other’s growth. The interactions between students from different grades foster a sense of community and belonging, helping the new kindergarteners feel at home in their new school.
Celebrating the Day with Treats and Fun
No celebration is complete without some delicious treats! To conclude the colorful and energetic morning, the children were treated to refreshments, including lollipops and tetra pack juice, arranged especially for them. The smiles on their faces were a testament to the success of the day’s activities. These small gestures are part of our efforts to make the children’s transition into school life as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
The Importance of Good Habits and Communication
Earlier in the day, our esteemed Principal Madam addressed the children in her inaugural speech, highlighting the significance of cultivating good habits from an early age. She emphasized that education is not limited to academics alone, but also encompasses the development of social and life skills that will shape the children’s future. Principal Madam also stressed the importance of talking in English and developing strong communication skills, which will not only help the children in their academic journey but also in their personal growth as confident individuals.
In her message to the teachers, Principal Madam advocated for an interactive approach to teaching languages, encouraging educators to make learning more engaging and accessible. She highlighted that language is the foundation of all learning, and by creating an interactive environment, teachers can help children develop their linguistic abilities in a natural and enjoyable way.
Collaboration Between Parents and Teachers:
Principal Madam also extended a request to the parents, reminding them of the vital role they play in their child’s education. While the teachers at TJIS are dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment within the school, the involvement of parents is equally crucial. Follow-up action at home plays an important part in reinforcing the lessons learned at school and helping children build a strong foundation in their early years.
Parents are encouraged to support their children by engaging in conversations, encouraging reading, and practicing good habits at home. This two-pronged approach—support from both school and home—will enable the children to thrive in an increasingly fast-changing educational scenario. The collaboration between parents and teachers ensures that the children receive consistent guidance and support, allowing them to develop into well-rounded individuals.
Looking Ahead to an Exciting Year:
As we embark on this academic journey together, we look forward to a year filled with growth, learning, and joyful moments for our kindergarteners. At TJIS, we are committed to providing a holistic education that nurtures not only the academic but also the emotional and social development of each child. We believe that the early years in school are critical in shaping a child’s future, and we are dedicated to making these formative years as enriching and enjoyable as possible.
We are excited to see our young learners grow into confident, curious, and compassionate individuals. With the continued support of our parents, teachers, and the entire TJIS community, we are confident that this academic year will be filled with success and happiness for all.
